The site is suitable for touring caravans, motor homes and tents, being on a level, firm grassy site, with a number of hard standing pitches. In total there are 20 pitches and 10 electric hook up points. There is a toilet and shower block on site, where guests will also find washing facilities. For our disabled guests, a disabled toilet and shower are available for use within the Centre. Dogs are permitted on site. The site being suitable for tents only. For those guests choosing to camp there is access to toilet, shower and kitchen within the Centre. POINT OF NESS CARAVAN AND CAMPSITE, STROMNESS - ORKNEY MAINLAND OPEN APRIL TO SEPTEMBER The 3 star Point of Ness campsite is situated in an idyllic, peaceful location one mile west of Stromness pierhead. The site is conveniently located within walking distance of Stromness where shops, cafes etc, can be found. The site provides dramatic views to the hills of Hoy, and is located in a quiet location with a shoreline walk from the site with the nearby skerries being a popular haul out place for seals. The site is suitable for touring caravans, motor homes and tents being on a level, firm grassy site, protected from the small drop to the sea by a low fence. There are 30 pitches and 12 electric hook up points. There is a toilet and shower block with access for the disabled. There is also a lounge area and a well equipped laundry, with washing machine, dryer and iron. Dogs are permitted on site. |
